We got a kids knitting book from the library. I figured this would be the place for both of us to start. Kids books are really plain and simple in their language and instruction. I have attempted to knit several times in my life but have not stuck with it so I have to relearn each time. Olivia is using a set of long needles that I happened to have around. I want to get her a shorter pair of wooden ones. I think they will be easier for her to handle and won't slip as easily. She certainly gets a frustrated at times. But mostly this has been a good exercise in concentration, selfcontrol and perserverance. for both of us! :)
