As seems to to be typical for us, it rained while we were camping, but we didn't let some gray skies stop us from enjoying the beach.
The waves were a little higher than normal, so the younger 4 stayed pretty much on the beach building sand castles.
They would occasionally venture into surf to get wet and then run back out again and continue playing.
Olivia and I spent a while out in the waves, but after a few rough hits, O had had enough and went back to the beach. I got hit a couple of times and wound up with a good set of scratches down my arm from the seashells on the beach.
Even when it started raining, it didn't stop us from enjoying the time we had there.
